In ancient times people looked to the Gods and Goddesses as ways of understanding behaviour and interaction. They were, if you like, the guiding myths of how to be and relate to each other. We could ask ourselves if we, as a collective, have lost connection with our guiding myths and stories.
The Greek Goddesses are an expression of part of the collective feminine archetypes, we use their stories and qualities to help find our essential core natural way of being.
The very act of reconnecting and recognising a particular Goddess within ourselves helps us to live more fully. Using this blueprint we can use the strengths and the wisdom of the Goddesses to help guide us to become the best of who we are, and in becoming the best of who we are we can contribute to the evolution and the health of our families and to the growth of our communities.
With the guidance and support of the Goddesses we stand tall and proud knowing that we in our own unique way have given the best of who we are and helped humankind to evolve a little bit more than it did before we were born.
Well it’s all connected with your Goddess Within. You’ll find yourself identifying with one or more of the Goddesses, and simply not comprehending or relating to others.
Each week we will explore and work with the Goddesses to discover and explore their strengths, and through their strengths we will uncover ways to heal their wounds. In so doing we deepen our connection and our understanding of ourselves, each other and the world we live in.
We will welcome the Goddesses through story, action methods and expressive arts, giving them space to show and tell us how they live within each of us. We will learn how we carry their strengths and how we can begin to heal individually and collectively using the energy of the Goddesses.
After each module you will receive a handout relevant to the work we have just completed, you will also be invited to take time for reflection in-between each meeting. Your overall experience will be greatly deepened if you are, in some way, able to take time to do that. Reflection can be anything from watching a movie of your choice, to creating a collage or journaling or simply observing yours or other people’s behaviours based on the Goddesses.
Once you know and experience your Goddess Within you can use her energy to better understand yourself and use it for positive change in all areas of life.
This deeply insightful and healing workshop is hosted by Mark Wentworth. He brings to life through action methods, colour and storytelling, the myths and stories of the Greek Goddesses.
